X server won't start

Hi everyone,
I have installed Ubuntu on a G4 400MHz machine. The install went fine and it boots up until runlevel 5 just fine, but the Xserver won't start. The graphics card is an ATI Rage 128 MB. I am kind of new to this. Does anyone have any experience with this? Thank you in advance.

hey mcalexp, I have the same/similar card, seems to be a problem for linux in general... have you had it working in another distro?

Ok, it was just the H/V refresh rates that needed changing... check for your monitor here...
