I found Openshot and thought that was great (then I didn't), then I saw Pitivi and saw so much potential. All it needs it subtitle support and it'll be off and running.

Anyone else loving the new apps coming out for Ubuntu, or Linux in general lately?

oh hey,

yeah. i haven't had a chance to play with pitivi, but some of the recording/music apps are amazing. i got a vintage clavinova from the late 80s, its only got a piano sound on it. mind you, a very good piano sound but i'm finding zynaddsubfx and qsynth are a wonderful thing. i known audacity from my windows daze, and havent had a chance to play with ardour. check out xara xtreme if you want a 2d vector graphic program (kinda like corel draw), gimp's quite good too. it might not be photoshop but its still more impressive when i did photo editing back in the late 90s in highschool.

yeah, im impressed

I'm curious: can Openshot and Pitivi be installed on the same system without dependency conflicts?
