Unright Entity

Ok. this problem arose when I installed a new video card. I was usually getting an average rip speed of around 70-80 fps from a DVD. When i changed the card, it continued to rip at these speeds, then I screwed somethin up while setting up the HDMI port, and was forced to reload Ubuntu. I'm using 8.10 UE still (If it ain't broke, Don't fix it!). I kept this setup for as long as I have because HB 9.3 is great for Divx, and there are too many issues with it running properly on anything past Intrepid. The problem is, I can't get it to run anything past around 25-30 fps now... So, the question is, can anyone tell me what to look for? I've gotten libdvdcss2, libdvdread3. and libdvdnav4. It's just been so long since I set up my original setup, so I can't remember how I had originally optimized it. Even if you can tell me what packages you are using with a similar setup, I'm sure that could help too. Thanks in advance, because I'm convinced that I'm screwing up something stupid!
