Hello,

I am considering purchasing a Gateway NV5378U (http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/searchtools/item-Details.asp?EdpNo=6077158&sku=S445-150056&cm_sp=Footer-_-Spot%2003-_-CatId_17_S445-150056), does anyone have any insight as to how difficult it will be to get wireless and the web cam running? Ideally, I'd like to use Kubuntu, but Ubuntu's fine.

Edit:
I should also mention that I'm not married to this particular laptop, it just seems like an alright deal for the price. I'm more then open to alternatives so long as they are available in the Greater Toronto Area.

I have the Gateway LT3103u & it works great as long as I don't use FF (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1479514). No issues with wireless at all.

This should be a very good notebook imo.

Thanks PinchedNerve.

Based on your experience, it seems like flash w/ Fire Fox could be a potential issue. Does this mean that YouTube and other video site won't load correctly for you? Has Chromium worked for you as an alternative?
