I have an Acer Aspire 5910g Laptop and I was wondering how I can modify or put what my media keys (those interactive buttons and multimedia touch buttons) on the laptop model does.

The buttons are as follows :-

-A Network button (for toggle of wlan enable/disable or connect/disconnect)
-A web browser button to launch a web browser (not working in linux)
-A email button to launch email app (not working in linux)

-and a bluetooth button (to toggle bluetooth HW ON and OFF *this is working by default!)

-Acer Empowering button *to launch empowering app in windows. Now I want this to launch a custom app in linux) *btw this does nothing in linux

-Acer arcade/media button (to launch the acer arcade on windows. Again , I want this to launch a custom app of my choice in linux) *btw this does nothing in linux

Touch buttons:-

-Play/Pause (this is making my scroll bars scroll instead!! WTF)
-Stop button (again this scrolls down instead of stopping audio)
-revind button (does nothing )
-forward button (does nothing)
-Rec button (opens DVD burner in windows. I want to open a burning app in linux by this) *btw this does nothing in linux

The OS is Kubuntu 10.04
