My system is homebuilt with an asus m4a79t deluxe mb. os ubuntu 10.0464 bit, very stable. I purchased a Thermatake 5T0005U combo usb-ESata external toaster and a WD 1.5 TB Hdd. The BIOS picked it up as PATA host adapter-1.5 TB Hard Drive. I bootet up with Pmagic and formatted the drive to fat32. I then tried to reboot and it would just hang after passing the BIOS. If I turned the power off the adapter the system booted normally. I then put the ubuntu 10.04 amd_64 CD in and it would boot OK and I can mount the drive and write a jpeg file to it.I suspect I need to set it up in fstab. Any suggestions?.TIA. maury
