America's Army is a game which runs on steam, which means it's for Windows. You will need to get Wine (http://www.winehq.org/site/about) (Click here to install (apt://wine1.2)) and install Steam (http://store.steampowered.com).

Wine is a Windows program loader for linux; it will let you run most Windows programs.

Wine is experimental at best; this is not the developer's fault as Windows is closed-source and extremely hard to replicate. There are no guarantees that this will work.

It seems to work okay with WINE.

Since you have Wine, I'm going to assume you have steam. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

If you are clicking a link in your browser, then the reason it's not installing is probably because Wine doesn't configure Firefox custom links correctly. Follow the directions in this thread (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=433548) and try again.

If that doesn't work, you're going to need to give me more detail. Tell me exactly what error you're getting (if anything happens at all), and what you're doing when you try to install it.

Except Punkbuster, which unfortunately renders it useless if you want to play for fun...

Thing is:
Or you play an old version (2.5), which runs native on linux, and hope there are still servers available, or
You try to play the latest version of AA2 (2.8.5) or AA3 with WINE, which has a lot of problems to run, and just forget Punkbuster servers.

It's a fail-fail situation... :icon_frown:

PS: I've stopped being able to install v2.5 some releases of ubuntu ago, but I've never really lost a lot of time trying, so maybe you can. Good luck.
