View Full Version : [ubuntu] What video Card do you recommend

I have a ati radeon 9600 card and read that there is no support for it really in ubuntu what card would you suggest i replace it with.. i only have a AGP slot for a graphics card thanks... oh the cheaper the better but im sure anything cheaper is better than my 9600...

If you arent gaming, and just want a newer card so you get manufacturer drivers (ATI or nVidia) this is what I would get-

Just a 6200 nVidia card. ;)

9600GT is PCIe only, the last nVidia cards to be released in AGP format was the 7XXX cards. Very hard to find a nVidia 7XXX AGP card these days....

took your advice windows use is about 60 to 70% ubuntu is about 30% seems like this vcard fixed allot of problems for me went with a ati radeon 4650 i think
