Supidly, when I use my internal (USB) Card Reader, I often press "Remove safely" when wanting to take out a card.
This powers off the whole card reader, rendering it useless until reboot.

Is there any way to reactivate an device after it has been "safely removed"?
(Yes it's internal and USB.
also, I'm not sure if it's really called safely remove, i'm german)

Hi Tehdog,
I have the same irritation on my desktop system since upgrading to KK the front panel multicard reader works fine on all cards/sticks until safely removed and after that any further insertions fail to be recognised until after a re-boot..
Never had this problem on previous distro,s..
Any pointers Guys ??
Thanks in advance,
Trentside.
