Hi,
I've just Installed Ubuntu 10.04 X86 Desktop Edition on my Advent Netbook and I'm having trouble getting my Scanner and Printer working and I wondered if there were any Linux Drivers available. My Printer is a Lexmark Z735 and my Scanner is a Umax AstraSlim SE?

have you tried using the hardware drivers 'program' in system>admin>hardware drivers?

plug in your devices and run that program see what comes up. if nothing come back and we will try to help you find something.

I tried that before I came on here and it came back blank for the Scanner, I cannot remember if it came up blank for the Printer, I'll try the printer later and come back.

I could be wrong, but I don't think Lexmark anything is supported.
If I am wrong, can any one help me install my visioneer onetouch 5600usb?

I wrote a similar thread for help with my scanner:http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1505544

I've read couple sites to no help as of yet:

http://www.sane-project.org/sane-backends.html

If I can't get printer and scanner to work I'm going to use Windows notebook for printing and scanning, as I use google docs everything is kept online so I've no problem with moving documents over for printing, everything can be emaild for printing and saving.
