It does not support PHP so I would not recommend NVU!
I use Bluefish, tho occationaly Quanta, depends on which I click on first, they both do the job well :)

Never understood the reason for scream, quanta and bluefish being seperate projects they are so similar...

i personally use Kate on my Kubuntu desktop, you just need to add Kate to open php files and it works great
syntex highlighting, tabs and more :)

Never understood the reason for scream, quanta and bluefish being seperate projects they are so similar...
screem and bluefish are gnome apps whilst quanta is a kde app. also, bluefish is more of an editor and screem is more of a website management tool.
