Can someone please point me in the direction of an InfraRed receiver that I can connect to my ASUS motherboard?
The plan is to use it in conjunction with Ubuntu and XBMC.
Any shop/online source/manufacturer (in the UK or Europe preferred.)

I have found 2 products which might work.

and

It seems the videomate has been used with some success but I am not sure I am up to doing all he required configuration. Is there anything else I should look at?

Did these work?

I bought it from a "buy now" on E-Bay VERY cheaply. It came from China with minimal instructions but worked "out-of-the-box"

It was a USB IR Receiver and a hand held PC specific remote. I remember looking again a couple of weeks later and it was no longer on offer.
My logic was to buy as cheaply as I could so that if it did not work I had not wasted too much money.

Hope this is of some help.
