Hey all. I imagine I am not the first one - or single one even.

The hibernate (and suspend) dont work. I'm running Ubuntu 10.04 LTS on a Toshiba Infinity class Notebook IS 1462.

I even re-installed the packages, tried command line etc nothing will work.

I set my remote control to hibernate when I click on power button with lirc and it shutdowns instead of hibernating :)
Not being enough a bother, when I click directly from Gnome to hibernate or suspend it unlogs my user, blinks the screen, and goes back to the darned loggin screen chooser....

Hibernate has been one of my current banes... Any ideas???

thanks!

Assuming you have set the preferences in System/Preferences/Power Management correctly, no, I have no other ideas. Some laptops have non-standard hardware/software, and don't work normally.
