I'm a palm pre user and I'm running 10.04 64 bit and I was just wondering what is the best video converting program to use to get videos to play on my palm pre. Sorry if this was already asked I didn't see it anywhere and thanks in advance for your help.

handbrake (http://handbrake.fr/) is supposed to be good for portable devices.

I haven't used handbrake in about 2 years so I don't remember it well but does it allow you to pick the output resolution file type and video container that it's in?

EDIT: I use to use iriverter for my Cowon S9 but since I upgraded the program won't even launch.

Handbrake has lots of settings.
And it's not difficult to tweak them.
The containers are m4v and mkv.

WinFF has two settings for Palm.
Just mp4 'Palm Fullscreen' and 'Palm Widescreen' but these are also easy to tweak.
