Hey guys, I'm having some complications with my sound. I've actually always had this issue, for as long as I can remember.

Essentially, when one application is using sound, other applications can't. I figure this is probably because one application will lock the sound, but I'm not really sure. An example would be like if I have Amarok open and am listening to music while checking my email, then decide I want to show someone a video on youtube. I have to close Amarok, then close and reopen my web browser(chrome) in order to get sound.

This isn't just a Lynx issue either, which is what I'm currently using. I had this problem in Karmic and Jaunty as well.

So I guess I'm asking what can I do about this? Do I have something configured wrong, or is this just how it's supposed to act? Are there workarounds? I mean chrome loads fast enough to where it's not really a huge wait or hassle, but it does get annoying...

So I guess thanks in advance ^_^
