Hi all,

Why my laptop faces overheating problem when i open youtube application?? Any ideas? I really need to work without restarting my laptop every 5 minutes..huhu

Flash in linux has always been a PITA, fortunately its days are numbered (html5, vp8 )

try chrome/ium , it uses less memory than firefox (if thats what your using). I personally prefer ff still. what flash plugin are you using ?

I used libflashplayer.so. Thanks for your recommendation. After trying google chrome, the same everheating occured..But, previously, it's just okay with ubuntu 9.10. But now, it's really bad.

ok well , what browser(s) are you using and does this only occur on youtube, also you could also try html5 beta on youtube http://www.youtube.com/html5

Yup, the same..i'm running mozilla firefox anyway. thanks a lot..Not only youtube, so long i use player (RhythmBox etc) or video then, problematic..

I dunno , are you sure your fans are working or theres no dust blocking them , maybe try vaccum the laptop , you could always try a browser in windows in virtual box . you could always try a different Disto live cd and try the browser on that too.
