I am trying to use Keepass 2.10 on UNR. I need to install a version of mono at 2.6 or above.

Distrowatch has a tarball of mono 2.6.4, but I am not sure how to begin installing it.

I don't think "Keepassx" uses mono ... I hope not ... I uninstall everything "Mono" , strait away (being Microsoft .net )

I wish to use Keepass because the file it produces is different from Keepassx. I prefer to deal with a single file that can be accessed cross-platform as opposed to two different file types. But, I need to install mono 2.6 or above in order to do this. Is there a package out there I can install somewhere?

keepassx seems not to support the kdbx format.
trying the script on http://patrick.qmtech.net/blog/?p=14 to install mono 2.6 now as I'm in a situation where I can't ask to safe that file in kdb format every time.

I will follow up on the script. Of course, any recommendations for programs like Keepass that are cross-platform are welcome as well.
I decided to try LastPass. Thank you for your posts.
