OT: PC blacks out after first boot?

Ano kaya prob pc ko? Pag naka-off cya for several hours then e-turn on ko, nagblablackout cya at hindi ko ma turn off thru the power button. I need to switch off my AVR to do so. Then the next boot, ok na cya. One thing I notice is, during the blackout, the HD power indicator is off too. What could be the problem? Is it my mobo? power supply? or my HD itself?

* If it's my mobo, it's possible but I don't know how to verify it.
* If it's my power supply, it couldn't be because everything is running except my HD. But I need your input for this.
* If it's my HD, it couldn't be because I have two HD's and the same happens when testing both. I also need your input for this...

I have to tell you that this is a result of months of blackouts. wooooot!
My first diagnosis, is that it could be because of Windows 7, but when I tried Ubuntu, I still get the blackout. I really need your input... :-(

before doing the hardware test reinstall muna dalawa OS kung sakaling eto ang remedy.

troubleshoot lahat hardware tira mo lang kinakailangan ng mobo like hdd, ram, power supply. kung same pa rin tanggal battery at reset bios -- last mo try palitan ang mobo eh kung gumana tama hinala ni boss loell. tsk mahal pa naman ng mobo ngayon 1,800+.

Sir have you try to plug it in directly sa AC ....? umiikot ba fan ng supply ..... baka ko po kasi hindi na nag bibigay ng enough power ang AVR pati ang supply ..... kaya minsan intermittent sya ....

D eh, madami kasing plugs kung ganun, di kasya sa outlet ko hehhe
Pero the first thing I noticed before this syndrome began eh mabilis ang spin nang fun. As in ang ingay! Pero ang problema d ako sure kung ang CPU ba oh ang power supply. Kung CPU, d ba tataas din ang CPU consumption ng PC, pero indi tumaas eh! Tapos occasionally tina-tap ko ang top part ng PC tower ko just above the power supply, nawawala yung ingay...

Thanks! try ko yan.. O nga, d ko gusto bumili d pa ako naka ipon. Sayang din naman to, 2.4 C2D tsaka kaka upgrade ko lang ng RAM at HD. woot!

I noticed one thing just recently, I tried turning off my pc for a few seconds after tuning it on(after several hours of not using it) and then turn it back on again, d na cya nag blablackout... Mmmm, ano kaya ibig sabihin?
