Fresh 64 bit install of 10.04 Ubuntu. Mythtv backend cannot be set up.
The error no UPnP is displayed, i.e. my tuner cannot be detected, although the driver is definitely integrated into the kernel.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks
James

I found the password for the database in the file /etc/mythtv/mysql.txt had been set to a very odd character string which I definitely did not and would not have set myself.
On using this string for the MythTV backend setup I was able to get mythtv running.
However I found mythtv not mature enough to control a dish rotor.
I have had better results with Kaffeine which can control a dish rotor and which initially set itself up with ease. Unfortunately I am having trouble with Kaffeine now finding my device after rebooting!!!!
