i have a lot of cache files when i open ubuntu-tweak that it offers to clean. how safe is it to actually clean what it offers? i really dont even understand what cache means lol

The only cache I can find is under the Package Cleaner and these are just the .deb files of what you have installed on your system. These would be safe to delete, but I see no point unless you are really low on disk space. Someone else may disagree and please respond if you do. This is just my opinion on the subject.
