View Full Version : [ubuntu] No audio for flash video in firefox

When i play any flash video like the ones from youtube, metacafe etc. , I am able to see the video, but there is no sound. When i tried it Google Chrome browser, it is working perfectly.

Are your firefox and adobe-fashplugin updated?

yeah.. my firefox version is Firefox/3.6.3
and adobe flash plugin version is 10.0.45.2-1lucid1. i think they are the latest, because I updated all the programs via the update manager yesterday only.

Make sure you don't have any other flash plugin installed.

Install FLASH-AID (http://flash-aid-extension.blogspot.com) extension for Firefox. It will remove conflicting plugins and install the proper flash version according to your browser architecture.
