Hi
A friend passed this link to me, its for a Distro based on Ubuntu but fully configured for Blind and Visually Impaired users.
I've only read the site so far, I've not had a chance to download or test it out, but thought, just by what's written at least, that this is a great step forward, someone has actually seriously taken this on the re-written the distro to make it more accessible.
It seems they have managed to configure Orca to actually 'work' in this Distro, something I've not been able to do, so keen to try it.
All I can say is 'Well Done' to the developers and I hope to be able to try it out soon.
Anyway the website is http://vinux.org.uk/
Hope others find this useful.
