View Full Version : [ubuntu] Image drive before upgrading video driver ?

I intend to install a development driver for my graphics card which may result in a non-functioning system. Is there a way I could image my installation as it is now so that I could go back if the driver doesn't work ? Or maybe there's a better practice. I'm naive. It's just that the last time I did this I tried a driver that wasn't recommended for the version of Ubuntu I was using and I couldn't even get a console to recover everything because the video didn't work at all.
