I am curious basically if there is an online guide to learn how to fix basic bugs that sort of stuff in Ubuntu without having to resort to asking on the Forum as my first resort. Not saying I dislike that not knowing much at all about this Operating system or how to use it that well. Just don't want to have to rely on the Forum for most of my problems that I may and most likely will encounter. If there is could you please let me know. Sorry if this brake any forum rules or anything like that.

When I was new to Ubuntu, the book Ubuntu Unleashed was immensely helpful.

Almost any question you have, has already been answered several times, with a little google fu, you should be able to find the answer you are looking.

When searching the forum use ubuntu forums site: before your question.

Otherwise, you don't have to look for an Ubuntu specific answers, in most cases Linux is Linux. I've found that the Debian guides (http://www.aboutdebian.com/) have been quite useful to me over the years.

What is wrong with the forum? Posting here helps everybody, and I've even thought about making a website based on stuff I learned on the forum.

No nothing is wrong was not trying to say there was. Just want to be able to answer my problems on my own and was curious were I could gather information to help get me started, and not have to shuffle through thousands of threads to get me started type of thing.
