How do you install programme using Qt

G'day to you all,

I have read very good reviews of Synkron and would like to install it. However, it's written in Qt.
Do I have to install Qt first? If yes, how? Can't find anything on the Qt site.
Once I've done that - or if I don't need to - how do I install Synkron?
I've downloaded them both.
I've got Ubuntu Lucid Lynx.

Thanks in advance for any help. BTW I'm using this forum because I AM an absolute beginner with Linux.

QT4 is available in synaptic. You'll have to compile this program yourself as they only supply the source code. There should be a readme file within the downloaded synkron archive giving instructions.

If its written in QT it doesnt need you to install QT first. I hope if you have KDE packages installed, it will work fine.
Like latest VLC players are developed in QT afaik. But you dont need QT to be installed for VLC player to work right?? :)
