Intel video drivers are open source, you dont need to install a driver for them ;)

You might be able to optomise things to get the best out of your intel video...but I have no idea how to do this.

Have the same chipset. The driver that is installed ( if you check Synaptic) is 2.2.9.1-3 ubuntu5. For me the driver in 9.04 which was 2.2.6.3-0ubuntu9.3 actually worked a little smoother, but it is ok in 10.04 being able to use compiz.

In fact, I can see the desktop properly. But the drivers currently installed does not allow booting from hardware acceleration for my video card. This strongly affects the performance of programs who need allaccelerazione hardware graphics video card.
