Ubuntu Netbook Remix 10.04 Blinking Cursor!!

Hello mga sir! Bago lang po ako dito.. :)
May problem ako sa pag boot ng UNR 10.04 sa Acer Aspire One D250 blinking cursor lang ang lumalabas sa screen pag sinelect ko ang ubuntu sa GRUB menu kailangan ko pa itong ireboot ng 3-6 times bago tumuloy mag boot ang Ubuntu
Help naman po oh.. please?

welcome to Ubuntu Philippines bro.. about your problem... I understand na ayaw tumuloy mag-open ng Ubuntu sa AAO mo?... and if tumuloy you could only see blinking cursor?.. I know this may be harsh pero have you tried re-installing 10.04?.. kasi what happened to MY installation was it can only detect USB Mouse and Modem device but not USB Storage Device!.. tried all what was recommended pero ayaw pa din eh... so I re-install it and tried other ways and boom now I'm a happy man!.. If re-installing did not work for you... try to re-download the .iso then re-install... sige try ko din download yung UNR and install it on my AAO and see if I'll get same issue ;)

It would seem that you have another OS installed in your lappy.

If Win7 yan at naka update.. I heard Windows7 has modified that boot loader to reject Grub. Maybe you should do a clean install with Ubuntu only on your lappy?

Thanks bro! I've done it many times pero no luck same problem pa rin. tapos naisipan kong i-install yung Ubuntu 10.04 Desktop Edition sa AAO ko pero ganoon pa din blinking cursor. :confused: huhuuhu :confused:

Sa akin it worked well on EEEpc 1005HA although I must confess I got rid of the asus recovery partition. Believe me, you wouldn't use such thing if you are using ubuntu.
