Panel Problem

I can't Remove things from the panels at the top of the Ubuntu 10.04 desktop. The option to "remove item" is greyed out...

Any ideas?

If you are using the netbook remix you can't, they are hard coded.

You could opt to use a normal gnome session, by choosing it from the login screen.
