I wish to take a moment and thank Ms_Angel_D for her efforts in the T&E.

It seems the T&E is rapidly becoming a more friendly environment for members to post their experiences and feedback. Granted, it's only been a brief period. However, it's obvious the number of individuals partaking in argumentative debates in the T&E has been significantly reduced. A continuation of this action will IMHO send a definitive message to those members who use that section as their own debating blog - in violation of the sectional guidelines.

By providing all members (especially, new members) an opportunity to post there and not feel intimated or defensive, the forums have substantially improved the T&E experience. My only hope is that Ms_Angel_D continues to maintain the T&E, assuring all who post there follow the guidelines. Eventually, all members who wish to contribute in that section may do so without hesitation.

Perhaps, I spoke to soon in an earlier post - assuming the forums would not invest in the T&E. I hope the staff will accept my apology, as it appears they are endeavoring to improve conditions in that section.

I too had reservations and concerns.

I also wish to publicly acknowledge Ms_Angel_D's outstanding efforts and dedication in this area. For a new staff member it has been impressive and courageous.

I also apologize for the doubts I had and any lack of initial support I may have shown.

Well done Ms_Angel_D.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the support and will do my best to continue working hard to make it a great and unintimidating environment for all. Though I could not have done it alone, it takes a community effort to make something like this to work.

I noticed this too. +100:popcorn:.

The T & E had always seemed to be looking more like the Cafe to me.

It takes time and effort to change the "culture" on the T&E and I would like to thank Ms_Angel_D (http://ubuntuforums.org/member.php?u=416115)
for the leadership, time, and dedication she has shown.

I would also like to thank all those who have supported her efforts, both on the staff and from the community.

Personally, I don't think it will take that long. Keeping in mind, that when she closes a thread it becomes "read only". Only the most dedicated of T&E debating members seem to be struggling with the concept and her participation.

Should she continue closing threads, those members will eventually realize that she isn't quiting anytime soon. Until then, I suspect a few will continue trying to ignore or circumvent her. But one must admit, that her presence in the T&E is having a positive influence.

Recently, I've read more uncontested feedback and experiences in the T&E than I ever have since joining the Forums. I truly believe more members will share their experiences and testimonials once they know that they don't need to defend them. What a wonderful opportunity for all members in the community to openly share their feedback. I'm seriously considering - again taking part in the T&E. As I do enjoy welcoming the new members and sharing their experiences.

Thanks again to all the staff and especially Ms_Angel_D (http://ubuntuforums.org/member.php?u=416115) for taking the initiative.

I agree. Especially Ms_Angel_D...when she closes a thread, she's polite and reasonable about it and I don't feel like Big Brother just slapped me down for having an opinion. She seems to have a good eye for the threads that are going nowhere and the ones that need a little room to breathe and develop. I'm very impressed with her and her efforts.

Would that more of the staff had such a positive, light-handed and understanding approach. Good job, Angel!
