Hi,

On my Ubuntu 8.10, gvfsd takes up 128.6MB memory. What is the process doing actually? Can I reduce the memory it takes?

Thanks and regards!

.gvfs is used to mount external drives, when they are plugged in. If you don't have any exteranls drives plugged in, it shouldn't even show up in top.
