So I got a mac mini and a nice monitor to attach to it, and after a week or so in macos x, I very much miss my debian box. So I saw ubuntu for ppc and I thought sounds pretty good. So I installed it, and can't get anything working in it.
For starters when I boot it automatically boots x and then bam blank screen, can't get it to come back. If anyone could help me configure my mac mini or has experience with the mac hardware inside advice would be much appreciated, I am thinking I will just move gentoo on it, but I have been very interested in ubuntu, and wanted to try it.

Are you using Hoary or Warty? I have Hoary on my iBook G4, and my understanding is that some of the hardware is quite similar to the Mini (i.e. 7447A CPU, Radeon 9200 graphics).

There are people on the Debian PowerPC list who have Debian on the Mini, IIRC it's just the sound which doesn't work at this stage.

I had a similar problem w/ my 17" monitor.

See this thread for more details and how I solved the problem.
