Hi!

Aside from being a linux user, i am also a budding (not bading!) video editor.

I thought that linux was relatively "tigang" on this, until jepong introduced me to KDENLIVE. It was an ok substitute for adobe premiere, a program that i am using.

tnx,

I've tried cinefx (previously called jahshaka) and it was never achieving any simple effects. Tutorials are way too old.

I suggest, cinelerra (http://heroinewarrior.com/cinelerra.php).

Pero masaya siya once you get the hang of it.

I have used after effects for years and it is now getting a little expensive as many things. One thing that I found that works for Linux is Gimp with the video plugin that can also downloaded with the gimp package. Gimp is great to photo editing and has a extensive plugin selection.
