Hi,
I don't know if heare or the dapper development thread is the right place.
Graphviz in debian is still at version 2.2 (several years old). The latest stable version of graphviz is 2.8. There are many desirable new features in the new version such as the cairo interface. I would be willing (with some coaching) to try and build the package.

sudo apt-get install devscripts
From there, read the doco. I'm not a package developer, so that's about the best I can give you...

Hi Nicholas,
Under 5.10 I had managed somehow to have graphviz 2.8 running. I'm now on 6.06 and would like to give the update you mention to the Ubuntu community. Count me in if you find what should be done and how to do it.
For a starter, have a look at http://packages.debian.org/unstable/graphics/graphviz.html.

Hi, that package works fine but does not have cairo enabled, or at least i can find it.
Was anybody able to use graphviz-cairo on dapper?
Thanks.
