Can you please file a bug following these steps so we can get a look at some log files?

1. https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntuone-client/+filebug - Be sure to include the steps you're taking and the results you're seeing
2. At a terminal session (Applications->Accessories->Terminal) run the following command (replacing ###### with the bug number from step 1): apport-collect -p ubuntuone-client ######

Excellent! And I see duanedesign beat me to the reply on the bug. He's too good. Looks like deleting the ~/.config/ubuntuone/syncdaemon.conf file and starting Ubuntu One Preferences solved the problem.
