I have been having problems with a slow network/ ethernet and wifi we have 20MBps download and still it is slow only going about 400KBps download from firefox it has been going on eversince we have gotten the 20MBps speed.
we have five conections going into the box:
1. Lenovo ideapad y510 laptop with A/B/G network. Wifi connected. 54MBps
2. satalite service connected to wired 100BaseT FULL DUPLEX.
3. 2 PCs both P4/Celerons wired 100BaseT FULL DUPLEX.
4. Wii game console G network. Wifi Connected. 54MBps
on one of the PCs there is a lot of gaming going on. they both use windows XP.
on the laptop i have Windows 7 and Ubuntu 10.04 both are expierencing speed problems along with the PC that does not game.
all three windows installs use norton antivirus. ubuntu does not.
I am wondering if it could be the AV or the Browser (firefox/IE8) or both.
any suggestions?
