Now that we can sync any folder to UbuntuOne, I find that I can organize my files better. My Documents folder is light on bytes, so that's synced.

I just had a look in the Ubuntu One folder and found the oddest collection of files, that I wanted online access to, but ended up forgetting about because they weren't filed in a sensible place, like in Music in this case.

Personally, I'm not using that folder any more and it just takes up space in my Home. I have my own way of organising my folders and I sync the ones I want - so I will probably delete the Ubuntu One folder. But I'm interested in how everyone else uses it. Do you also find it redundant? Do you store everything in there or have you some sort of method?

I hope some of you reply, I think it's interesting and might even be useful ;)

so far I have my tomboy notes in a Dropbox folder

But I have now started to put my Thesis folder into my Ubuntu One, so I automatically have the stuff for my master thesis on the harddrive and on Ubuntu One every time my word processor makes an autosave or I click save. that saves me the trouble of making manual backups.

I think making a document folder part of your Ubuntu One folder is a very neat example of how to reduce headaches ;)

Yes, you could right-click you Documents folder and synchronise that. Good luck with the thesis ;)
