Hi guys,
Ive been trying to set up a dedicated server on my ubuntu box for the halflife mod of empiresmod (www.empiresmod.com)
Ive also tried running many of the mods that are made by valve to see if the problem was with the people who were making the mod but that hasnt helped at all..
The problem is that for some resion my server is binding to the localhost or loopback interface i believe... and sometimes i can see it over the network in the server browser on my MS(eww) box but it cant be seen from the web.
I have opened the correct ports and even dropped the server into the DMZ but have had no luck getting the server to show up in the internet servers list or on gametiger.com
Im using ubuntu 5.10 with all the updates including the recent kernel update.
If anyone has any ideas on what to do please let me know, any help is greatly appreciated.
