I've only just got starcraft beta working on wine after a 2 day battle, its a bit stuttery

Yeah, dual booting rocks. I wouldn't say I use Windows just for games though. I use it for all my media needs. I use Ubuntu for most of my work stuff though.

My friend runs it happily on his computer with Wine. It runs smoothly- but I bet it's taking up a lot of resources behind the scenes that would otherwise be available in Windows. However, I could be wrong; I haven't checked, and I have a lot of Windows applications that run better in Wine than XP. :D We'll see.

Also, with Steam coming to Linux, perhaps Blizzard will follow suit. They did develop WoW for Linux in the Betas, after all.
