Call of Duty 2

I am trying to install Call of Duty 2 on Ubuntu 9.10 64 Bit in either wine or play on linux. I've tried both: With the former, the install file crashed and with the later, the game installs but when I run it, my computer freezes on a black screen, just after changing resolution.

I know some people have had I working, can anyone help?

Howdy There,

From looking at the AppDB page (http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=3794) for call of duty 2 it appears most of the people having the best luck have been using 1.1.3X versions of Wine - perhaps try running it under one of these versions.
