Start Up Issue

[Frogs Hair]

Hello,

I installed Lucid Lynx last night, and at boot, after I log in I here the system sound but the screen remains
purple for about ten seconds before the wallpaper and the top panel appear.

I am using the recommended Nvidia driver and some times when I open appearance preferences the
images load like pictures on a slow web page, but only after the first cold boot.

This behavior seems like a driver issue. Any thoughts on this ?

A simple removal and installation of the 195.36. 15 driver seems to have solved the problem. ???????
