I know to paste files is Shift+Insert. But other than Control+C/X, how can you copy and cut files?

Sorry, my mistake, Ctrl+X cuts text, not files.
Actually, Ctrl+X should have worked in nautilus windows

you can cut and paste files using Ctrl+X and Ctrl+V as well.

Oops, you're right, it fooled me when I didn't see my folder get removed after cutting only. I can see now that it works after cutting and pasting the folder into another location.
