It seem the add/remove app is no longer included in Lynx. So am i to understand i must singularly add ever app, typing in my password after every one?!

No, you do it in the Software Centre instead. Which hopefully should be in the same place Add/Remove was.

And the (System -> Administration ->) Synaptic Package Manager is available, which allows you to select as many programs as you like and install them at once.

It seems software centre requires you to password after every chosen app.Is that correct?

No. It requires it once, then will remember it until you've not made any changes for fifteen minutes or so (roughly - that's how I think it works.)

HI

inadequate Lynx

I don't think so,but every one has a opinion.

I only use Ubuntu Software Center to see if it works.
Its not that way in Synaptic Package Manager, and it has much more control.
