View Full Version : [ubuntu] Why does Ubuntu 10.04 get totally freezed somtimes ?

hi,
i am using ubuntu 10.04 . somtimes it get totally freezed. somtimes i was able to move my mouse pointer and somtimes that got stucked too. though the media player keep playing songs ,but i cant do any operation. i figured out that, my system freezes mostly when i customize my windowlist screenlet . sometimes i dont have to customize it,,it get stucked autometically .then i had to press my restart button forcefully. please help me with this,,coz i dont want to go back to windows . :(

my system configuration
mainboard - intel d945gcnl
processor - duel core 1.6 GHz
ram - 1 gb
i used 11 gb for ubuntu and 1 gb for swap

What do you have for video:


lspci | grep VGA

Welcome to the club,i have the same problem.

I have post something in another thread but did not find any info to solve the prob...

For some reason, this only happened to me 2 times since this released.

Well it happened to me like 6 times since thursday...
Very annoying to have to do a hard restart cause i never had that problem with Karmic.Its a huge regression for me.

What do you have for video:


lspci | grep VGA
