I have a 1GD sd card. its free space is 939.4mb.
USB Startup Disk Creator says that the "device is not large enough to hold this image".

I think Disk Creator over does it. How big is the image? 700mb

You need just 700mb. Try to format the disk before making the liveusb.

I think I remember seeing somewhere that it's recomended to have 1gb for the UNR and 2gb for the desktop version. I may be completely incorrect though so please correct me anyone

how do i format the disk?


P.S. I have a 1.9 GB device with 1.9 GB free space and Startup Disk creator is still saying that the device is not large enough to hold this (697.6 MB) image.

startup disc creator, when you select the device there should be a format button

You can also right click the drive.

I have to say I've never attempted to use startup disc creator to format a device, only to create one.
