Hi
Can anyone else whos installed 64bit lucid 10.04 build check to see if BBC iplayer or media clips play ?

I've got the following installed:
flashplugin-installed
flashplugin-nonfree

But media clips from http://www.bbc.co.uk just seem to be static, pressing on the play now button has no effect.

Youtube media and general flash seems to be fine, just nothing from the BBC.

Ok have worked out that the visual desktop effects issue is causing this, which has been mentioned elsewhere. Disabling visual effect makes the BBC iplayer 'play' button work.

This has been kicking around for soooo long I would have thought it would have been a non-issue in 10.04.

EDIT:
Following this procedure got me the 64bit player working.

Brilliant. Worked for me too. Originally iPlayer worked fine for me on 64 bit, but then it became flaky and then it stopped. Your script adn the Adobe 64 bit player seems to have sorted me out. Thanks!! ):P

It doesn't work. The link for the instructions to install the flash player don't work, and neither does the shell script. Duff info yet again!

Keep in mind the plugin from that tutorial has a critical vulnerability. You should use the latest version from the repositories.
