Hi All
I have a macbook 1.1 and I run 9.10 now. I want to upgrade and see the button to do so, but which is better?
Should I burn the live CD and then upgrade from that?
Or
Do I just push the upgrade button? Will it take a lot of time and is it OK to be wireless when doing it? What is the best way, as it also says install updates (9 of them) with the upgrade button at the top. If I push Install Updates, will 10.04 be installed then anyway?
Cheers

If you are going for a clean install then burning the Live CD is the way to go
but if you want to update your system then consider clicking the button
for upgrading to 10.04.
If you want to upgrade your system using a CD then download the alternate CD
as you can't upgrade your system fully from the normal CD.

I don't want a total clean install, but an upgrade. Should I do it now or wait because the servers might be at capacity? How long will it take upgrading from 9.10? Thanks again

It is hard to judge what load the servers are bearing at the moment. It is a good number of hours since 10.04 was officially released so I don't think the load is as bad as it was 5 hours ago. How long it takes to upgrade will depend on how good your connection is and how loaded the servers are. I attempted a network upgrade earlier. I was notified that I would have to download a little over 700MB of data.
Do the math! After downloading, the system is configured then you reboot.
