View Full Version : [ubuntu] Flash issues

Hi, I am a new convert to Ubuntu.
I have a Lenovo y510 that I love. I run chrome unless I have to run something else. I play Facebook poker and recently a game called Battledawn. Each have issues with flash. As I read on the adobe site they no longer support linux under flash 10. SO i went through the process of installing flash 9 so that my games would work on my linux side. But with flash 9 my sound doesn't work! The fixes I have found said install 10, that doesn't help me. Does anyone know how I can get the cooperation of 9 with the sound of 10?

Try this ! after downloading check permissions and make it executable.

first of all that install only worked for Firefox, not a big deal.
BUT the games are broken in that install(sound works). Any other suggestions?

I apologize, I miss read http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/406/kb406791.html
I emailed some people at ZyngaPoker and they basically said we don't support Linux. I assumed flash was the problem when I had other games that didn't work.

SO I installed flash 9 now, sound wont work. I went to get libflashsupport, but package manager says it will break the libflash something or another.
We want it to break correct? because thats how it will fix the sound? How do I do this?????????
Btw idk but supposidly you can have flash 10 in firefox and flash 9 in chrome...
Why flash 9, because flash 10 does not work properly for several games out there on the internet...
including facebook zynga poker, and battledawn ....
Help anyone.. Uberstalker I support you...

I run XP in virtualbox because of some zoo game in facebook that my girlfriend plays. It's the only way I know to have complete compatibility. Flash in windows get top priority, and that's the way it goes.
