View Full Version : [all variants] Sound Juicer: rip automatically
April 28th, 2010, 03:24 PM
Sound Juicer start automatically when I insert an audio CD. I want it Extract automatically as well, so I can get through a stack of CDs with minimal intervention. How do I do this?
It used to work with grip, but that's not supported by Ubuntu anymore.

don't use sound-juicer (use rubyripper for auto ripping) but should be fairly easy.
Either go to File Management -> media -> cd audio -> use other application -> use a custom command or insert an audio cd while holding down the shift button and in the popup -> use other application -> use a custom command
use as a command
then set sound-juicer as the default for audio cd's
(file management is a disabled menu item in system -> preferences - can be enabled from edit menus or accessed from nautilus -> edit -> preferences among other ways

mc4man, your name is all over the forum threads I've looked at and you've provided loads of help. This thread gave me the final piece of information that I needed but thank you for the help you've provided in both this and the many other threads I've read before this one. It's appreciated.
