I have not tried it on linux yet as it is not free software. You could try to install it using wine in linux.

Alternatively, you could use Xiphos, native linux software.

Or, you could also try e-Sword of The Word, windows software could be installed in linux using "wine christian repository" available in ubuntu ce.

can it be done on Ubuntu?

Historically, Logos products have not run under WINE. I doubt that things have changed with Logos 4.

That said, the only thing is to try installing it.

My experience with other Bible Study software for Windows, is that using the script for installing e-Sword at http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=404042, to install the program, usually provides the "best" experience in using the software on a Linux box. (Install e-Sword, then install the other program, using the "manual" option.)

However see this thread:

It seems that with the move to Logos 4 there are some new possibilities on the horizon.

Xiphos is a great Bible study tool... especially since you can now install modules from other servers like Bible.org, Crosswire and others.

ALSO, you can install it for Windows AND the same XML files that you have with your config in Linux... WORKS in Windows as well.... and vice verse.

SO, if you want to install on both Windows and Linux... you can keep the same configurations.

seems like there are still a number of issues to work out.

Xiphos is a great Bible study tool.

Xiphos currently offers neither the resources, nor the tools, nor the functionality that Logos 4 offers. As such, people that want Logos are not going to consider Xiphos to be a viable option, much less "a great Bible study tool".
