That is the best way I can think to put it.
I have a 1005HAB netbook from Asus. A few months ago I installed on it a partition of Karmic Koala, and it worked absolutely fine, without even minor errors. That is until about a week ago when it started turning off by itself after a few seconds. I was certain that it was a hardware problem, because this happened regardless of whether I started Ubuntu, Windows, or just left grub open.
The next day grub suddenly refused to load at all. But no more shutting down. I reinstalled Ubuntu and it's running like a charm again, so I don't need help in fixing it. I guess I'm just looking for some reassurance that I'm not crazy. Does any one have any idea what could have happened here?
